I am not the most political person and I struggle to feel like I have any authority to have an opinion on large issues I’m not well educated on. The events of this week have really affected me and made me think about my beliefs. As a mother, wife, and as a sister/Aunt to Jewish family that I love, I am preoccupied and anxious. What has happened recently in the Middle East has once again opened my eyes to how vulnerable our species is to cruelty and hate. I don’t really care what religion you are or what political entity you ascribe to. I feel like there is a species level value system that we have lost.

It is not okay to kidnap, rape and torture EVER

It is not okay to bomb areas with innocent people just trying to survive EVER

It is not okay to forget that we are all at our basic level brothers and sisters on this planet EVER

It is my prayer that we replace fear with love and together find peace.
