Dandelion Explosion

This last month I have taken great pleasure in viewing fields of dandelions with their cheerful faces looking up at the sun. In the last week or so, the fields of gold have been replaced by hundreds and thousands of seed heads. I pick a few each day and make a wish and blow for good measure.

In the last few days I’ve noticed that the air is thick with seeds. They blow in through open windows and doors, Sophie’s fur is decorated by them and I feel like they are in nearly every breath I take. To be honest, it is a bit unnerving. I was sitting outside this afternoon having my lunch in the sunshine and wherever I looked there were tufts of dandelion seeds floating by in clouds. It began to feel like an invasion.

So far I’m not coughing up blossoms or burping up dandelion greens so that is a plus. Sorry that the pictures are blurry but I was trying to show you the “snow” on all my plants.
