I haven’t been writing because I have been very busy living. Matthew came to Paris and we jetted to Malaga for a long weekend of sunshine and pools and gorgeous ocean breezes. We then returned to St. Denis to get the house in order and close it up in hopes of Airbnb rentals this summer.
We had a lovely dinner at Hannah’s just before going which felt like the perfect way to say goodbye to France for the summer. She made a delicious feast and invited lots of my favorite lovely new friends. It was so nice to have Matthew by my side for a dinner party.
We travelled back to Maine now almost two weeks ago and hit the ground running. I was determined to do a little landscaping behind the condominium. Matthew and I went up to Moose Crossing and bought some shade perennials and some plants for our patio pots. I also bought yet another Endless Summer blue hydrangea in my quest for one day having a vase full of those flowers wherever I might be living.
Soon after settling in ourselves we welcomed my “boys” from France. They flew to Montreal and have been with us now for just about a week exploring the best of Maine. We have had beautiful meals, wonderful weather, boat rides, day trips and I fear, they have a falsely positive sense of Maine living. I’m just so glad we have been able to have them with us.
Now off to California with Matthew for his work and then Connecticut before settling in for the month of July.
